Work on the browser version of ArcVenture Online has moved on to the characters. Every model has been rebuilt, both the people you meet at the Bancroft dig site and the cast you talk to once ARC1 takes you back to the villa. The new models are lighter and cleaner, which should help the web build run more smoothly on the range of devices it needs to support.

They also move now. When a character speaks, their model animates with the dialogue. It is a small change on paper, but it makes conversations feel much more like the people at the dig are actually talking to you.
Lizzy and Ash are the first to use the new system. Both of them now speak their dialogue out loud as well as showing it on screen, while you work through the finds and the first mystery at the site. The rest of the cast will follow the same path as their lines are wired up.

There is still testing to do before this build goes out more widely. If you would like an early look once it is ready, you can join on Patreon or subscribe to the newsletter on this site.
