Before making the new online dig site available for testing I have been doing a round trip on the player controls and have decided that the mobile controls need an update. In previous browser based activities we have had a circular control pad appear in the bottom right of the screen. This was passable for small areas with only a bit of movement but it became obvious that moving around larger areas felt clunky and difficult on a tablet or similar device so I decided to upgrade the mobile controls to a pair of widgets on either side of the screen and add a menu button and a help button at the bottom. I’m still working on these controls but when I am happy with them I think that will be the testing version of the dig site ready.
