The Legal Niceties

One of the problems with coming back to a product after many years is that if that product was previously successful there will have been various bits of legal paperwork created to protect the rights of the interested parties. Since I first signed the development contract for the first ArcVenture, more than 25 years have passed and many people have been involved with its production and distribution.

The original publisher, Sherston Software has changed hands several times since then and the people involved have all changed too. The ownership of things has also changed and I found that the trademark of ArcVenture had been passed from company to company.

Luckily for me, I tracked down the owners and have arranged to have the trademark signed back to me so that I can begin the next instalment of the ArcVenture series. As I write this the paperwork is being completed and the work can begin.
